Welcome to the Alcorn County E911 Center's Web site. It is our goal to educate and inform you of our services, and in turn, make it a less stressful experience when you contact us during an emergency situation.

On average, every individual in the United States will call for emergency assistance at least two times during their lifetime.

In the event of an emergency, our agency's dedicated employees are your initial point of contact for Alcorn County, as well as the City of Corinth. The 911 Call Takers are trained to provide life-saving assistance over the phone, while dispatching the necessary first responders to the scene of the emergency. They have a primary responsibility of processing and prioritizing calls by answering emergency, non-emergency, and administrative telephone calls. They properly question callers while utilizing nationally recognized protocols and local policies and procedures to determine the location and the nature of all emergencies, while simultaneously entering all information, pertaining to the emergency, into the 911 database system.

We provide this public service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year.
